GSOM Launches Corporate MBA Program for Rosneft Management

On April 7th 2010, a corporate МВА program began for top-managers of Rosneft – Russia’s leading oil extraction and refining company – at the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University.
The training course will be attended by twenty-seven representatives of the company’s administration and heads of its affiliates from Yekaterinburg, Ulyanovsk, Samara, Rostov, Voronezh, Smolensk, Oryol, Tver, Arkhangelsk, Buryatiya, Altai and other regions.
Over the coming two years (through March 2012) participants will take part in twelve resident courses that includes two in partnership with The Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, Durham, USA and the Norwegian School of Management, Oslo.
The goal of the program is to develop advanced skills in the fields of resource management, strategic management, financial analysis, operational management, marketing and sales, and the management of change pertinent to the specific areas of the company’s activity. The program is aimed at perfecting those skills necessary for the fulfillment of large, complex and capital-intensive projects in the oil-and-gas sector by corporate leadership.
In the current economic climate and rapidly changing business-environment, Rosneft chose GSOM for the new program because of its international reputation as one of Russia’s most distinguished business schools.
